You do not need another list of topics chosen for you. Start with a passage you actually want to read: a personal note, a short story, or an article you have permission to use.
- Bring a short passage. Sign in to Amber and paste your English text into the reader.
- Read for the meaning first. Use word lookup or sentence structure when something stops you.
- Listen, then revisit. Play a sentence and return to the expressions you want to remember.
- Ask about the passage. Discuss an unclear phrase while keeping the source in view.
Choose something you can mostly follow
A text with a familiar topic and a few new expressions is often a more comfortable starting point than a page where every sentence needs translating. Short sessions are welcome.
